What's more, during the commotion with the kitchen fire, someone stole Emily's mother's jewelry from her room! So now Nancy needs to help find the missing jewelry, a missing will and why someone is trying to make Emily think shes crazy!Įmily Crandall- A 17 year old girl that Nancy knows through a mutual friend. While Nancy is talking to Emily we hear an explosion. She also discloses that a kindly and deceased old neighbor, Josiah Crowley was supposed to have helped her out but leaving her a large sum of money in his will, but never did. Strange things have been happening lately and she doesn't trust anyone, or herself to hang on to them. When Nancy gets there, she finds out that the reason Emily wants her help is so that she can lock up her mothers jewelry in her dad's safe. Her guardian, Jane Willoughby has come out to help her run the Inn until she's 18 but neither of them are doing a very good job at it.
Her mom, Gloria Crandall, died about a month ago and Emily hasn't been taking it very well.
